St Thomas’ Library

This small, enclosed space was transformed into a warm and welcoming library, designed to ignite the children’s passion for books at the PRU. Collaborating closely with the school, we pinpointed their favourite book characters and adorned the walls with vibrant illustrations of these beloved figures, making the environment instantly familiar and inviting for the children.  This opens up all realms of possibility by encouraging children to pick up a book and go on an adventure.

The stunning blue sky mural provided a cheerful backdrop that beautifully contrasted with the effect of exposed brickwork—a feature carefully matched to actual brickwork and extended throughout the room to create a cohesive and cosy atmosphere. This thoughtful combination of elements not only brightened the space but also crafted an inspiring setting where children could feel excited and comfortable to explore the world of reading.
